Crops
Rice, Grapes, Pomegranate
Active: Kasugamycin + Copper Oxychloride Formulation: WP (Wettable Powder) Action: Systemic & Contact

Product Information

Mode of Action

Kasugamycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial and fungal protein synthesis by binding to ribosomes. Copper Oxychloride acts as a multi-site protectant, releasing copper ions that disrupt multiple enzyme systems within the pathogen. This combination prevents resistance development and controls mixed infections.

Target Diseases
  • Bacterial leaf blight (Xanthomonas oryzae)
  • Bacterial spot and Canker
  • Blast (Pyricularia oryzae)
  • Anthracnose & Fruit Rot
Key Benefits

Effective against difficult-to-control bacterial diseases. Provides a “green” effect on the crop due to copper nutrition (in trace amounts).

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Dosage / Concentration Water (L/Ha) PHI (Days)
Grapes Anthracnose, Bacterial Leaf Spot 750 g/ha 400 – 1000 37
Rice (Paddy) Leaf Blast, Neck Blast 0.2% (200g / 100L water) As required 40
Pomegranate Bacterial Blight, Leaf Spot, Fruit Rot 0.1% (100g / 100L water) 500 – 1000 10
Dosage Note: As a Wettable Powder (WP), measure by weight (grams). Ensure thorough agitation during mixing to keep the powder in suspension.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply preventively or at the very first sign of disease. For bacterial diseases, early application is critical to stop the spread. Repeat sprays every 10-14 days based on disease severity.
2. Compatibility
Copper products are generally compatible with many fungicides but avoid mixing with highly acidic or alkaline products. Conduct a jar test before tank mixing.

Safety Precautions

Phytotoxicity: Copper can be phytotoxic to certain varieties (especially at flowering) or under certain weather conditions. Test on a small area first.

Harvest Interval: Adhere strictly to the PHI, especially for export crops like Grapes (37 days) and Rice (40 days).
